ELISE
ELISE: European Liberty and Security, 2004--2005
The ELISE project was launched officially on 1st October 2002. This project will run for three years and it is funded under the Fifth Framework Programme of DG Research, European Commission. The purpose of the ELISE project is to develop the conceptual and empirical basis for institutional proposals in the area of security policy for the IGC of 2004. The aim of this project is to assess what security framework can be developed in Europe which addresses the concerns of the citizen which does not undermine civil liberties, human rights, welfare and social cohesion.
Ulrike Davy contributed to Workingpackage 4: The Changes in laws on immigration and asylum in response to terrorist fears. She was preparing the country report on Germany.
